Have you been wishing you could stop Facebook video auto play to reduce your data consumption?
It could really be a source of concern for persons that want to conserve data yet desire to explore the social network.
Unfortunately, Facebook video auto play does not know if you have the intention of saving data.
It just plays as you are scrolling down your timeline and eat up your data. You have to do something about it and you have your settings to be able to do that.
There is a way to stop it.
It is simple and here is the process.
- Open your Facebook App and touch the menu bar- The 3 lines at the right bottom corner of your screen.
- Scroll down to Settings & Privacy (touch it)
- Do another scroll down to Mobile Data Use (touch it)
- Scroll to Never Autoplay Videos (check it)
- That settles the matter.
Here are image representations of how to change this setting and reduce data consumption.
Once you have done this, videos that appear on your Facebook timeline will not auto play again.
If you also do not want the videos to start playing with sound, you can set it from there.
