Sometimes, you could try to send large videos on WhatsApp, especially the ones that are over 16MB to someone and you see that the video chops off at the end.
This often happens because you have exceeded the limit of video-file-MB allowed by WhatsApp. That maximum is often 16MB.
In fact, this situation could be very devastating for someone who really wants to share a video file at once.
Not to worry, there is a way around most things that technology offers.
Sending large videos that are over 16MB on WhatsApp is one of such things you could do which just a different step.
First, what I am teaching here is for people who use iPhone. I am not sure whether this will work for Android users. But you can try it.
To be able to send large videos on WhatsApp without losing the quality too, you must first ensure that you have storage space in your phone.
Next, open the video file and then touch the save icon. Afterwards, scroll down to save to file.
That way you will be saving the video in your file folder. [Ensure you delete this video after sending it because it will mean the video is taking up storage space in two places in your phone.
You can either save on ‘iCloud Drive‘ if you have the space or choose ‘On My iPhone‘. Then, tap ‘Save‘.

Once you do that, the video is then saved in your file folder. You are now ready to send your large file on WhatsApp without losing quality or having it chopped off.
At this point, go to WhatsApp, tap the name of the person you want to send the video to and then tap the plus sign at the lower left corner of your screen.
Select ‘Document’ so that you can locate the file. If you have set your phone to sort by Date, you will see the latest saved file.
Select it and then tap send. The large video will then begin to upload as a file and not as a video.
That way, the file will be sent with its quality and length intact for the receiver to download the whole thing.
Note that for organisation sake, you can rename your video at the point of saving the video to your file folder.
That way you can even search with the file name at the point of sending to the file.
