Get It Right With Phones

Fortunately, you can resolve this issue by just doing a few things I will recommend here.

Before the recommendation, here is one way to make sure that your next phone does not give you this issue after few months like your current phone is doing.

Before you get your next phone, be sure to check the storage capacity of the phone. This is very important for both Android and iOS users.

Basically, the apps that you will install on your phones stay on the storage space of the phone.

You may not be able to move most of them to the external storage (SD Card) that you may have added to boost the phone memory.

It is advisable that you go for phones that have 32GB storage space or even higher. However, note that the higher the storage space a phone has the more expensive that phone is.

That said, let us go into the main reason for this article.

What To Do When Your Phone Is Hanging

1.      Free More Space

On and Android phone, freeing more space can help when your phone is hanging.

This is done by going to the settings, open your storage & memory, open internal memory, then you will see what and what is taking up space.

However, before you clear, note that it could make you need to enter your password again when you want to open some apps.

Another place to check is your Apps. If it is showing that your apps are occupying some space, try to move some apps from the phone storeage to the SD Card folder.

Once your have moved or deleted unnecessary data in your internal storage, you will have more space.

This will make your phone perform better.

iPhone Is Hanging

For iPhone users, the first thing you may need to consider is deleting apps, photos and videos that you no longer need.

Remove the app to delete it
  • Check your screen to see if there are apps that you no longer need.
Touch and hold for few seconds and you will see a ‘Remove App’ option.
  • Remove the app if you don’t need it.

Next, go into your photo app and delete old pix or videos that you may no longer need.

If you have doubts whether you will need those photos and videos, get an external Hard Drive you can use as backup to store your photos and videos.

Move the videos and photos there and delete them on your phone.

This will give you some space.

Also, you can pay for backup space on iCloud . Note, this will require you pay every month to maintain it.

If this is not a cost you are ready to service for life, just take the option earlier suggested.

2.      Clean Unused Data

This is another fix when your phone is hanging.

It requires that you download and install an app that can clean phone memory.

Once installed, this app automatically cleans your phone of any unused data when you open it and give the command.

While this works, it may not give you a solution that will last for a few days and you will need to clean again.

In some cases, you have to clean everyday.

3.      Check For Virus

Sometimes, a virus attack may be the reason your phone is hanging.

Sadly, apps that are downloaded from risky sites or sources that are not trustworthy may contain virus or malware.

This could be harmful to your phone when it interferes with your phone’s background processes.

Eventually, your phone will begin to hang.

To remove this virus, uninstall suspicious apps or get an antivirus app from your App store.

The antivirus app will help identify and remove the malicious malware when you lunch it and give the command.

4.      Get An External SD Card

With an external SD Card you can create more space.

Get a card and install it. After that, move files – documents, photos, videos and others saved in your phone storage to the SD Card.

 5.      Update Phone Operating System

Having an old software in your phone could also be a reason your phone is hanging.

There are usually some deficiencies that are fixed when a new software for your phone is released.

Unfortunately, these deficiencies could make your phone perform less than it should.
